wow

WOW i am so behind it is crazy.  Had the first presidential debate last night and all the americans came to the bar to watched.  I most deff did not pay attention to it at all.  I payed more attention to my computer.  We served mimosas and bfast sandwiches.  I got a real position of inventory manager.  I will be in control of all food related inventory coming and leaving the camp.  I only got 4 hours of sleep last night because of the debate.  Which was not cool at all.  I have had 2 function back to back which were all day and sucked also.  I am very tired.  I missed breakfast so I am hungry.  I will eat big at lunch.  I have miss home a lot lately.  Some shit back home between a few people has gotten to me.  I am getting over it and moving on.  I am not sure what I was thinking telling Elliott to pass that message along.  Very stupid.  Who cares I have other things that are better on my plate now.  Miss you all and hope all is well.

Another day Another dollar

Today started like any other and will end like most. Looks like I will be starting a rotation working in the departments for 2 days and then move. I like the idea. The morning started at the bar like always does. Until the next time.

Nile

Well I live on the nile and eat sleep and drink within a stones throw. It is a nice simple place. My bathroom is in my tent, Which i have moved into 2 of them. I think I am staying in this one. It is a hard floor a cot and a desk with a fan on it. I have wireless internet. And my shower and toilette on the other side of the divider. I love it.

more flights

Today we fly again. This time we fly to the South Sudan. We will be going to our camp sites today. Still unsure of exactly where we are going but we will know in a few hours. Had to take another bush shower. Hot water+washcloth+soap= bush shower. Actually very nice in the morning. Gets your blood flowing and gets you up in the morning!

off topic

I know this is off topic with the traveling gig and all but why do I fall for the girls that end up breaking my heart? What can I do to not let that happen and guard myself? If not then I will have to keep a close look out for those ones. Anyways back to Africa, we ship out tomorrow and get to out camps tomorrow and start work. We wont be managing off the bat which is nice but we will be running some operations.

Catch up time

Well I have not added much to the blog sense I started it. Right now I am at the afex camp in Nairobi. Ian and I found out today we leave tomorrow for Southern Sudan. The coordination has been very shitty so far. No body knows anything about our plans, which sucks for Ian and I. We know now we leave and at least the area we are going to. Ok so let me catch up. The flights were effing long, however Ian and I had entire rows of seats to ourselves for the Atlantic flight and African flight which was nice. We got all of our luggage in Nairobi which was nice. Paying the visa took forever which sucked but we got through ok. The driver was also on time and picked us up. The hotel we stayed at was nice for 2 nights. We thought we would be there till monday but they checked us out for some reason. Yesturday we had training and got online for the first time in a few days. Having the internest wil be a blessing and a curse, we will see which is worse. Today we got more shots and more vaccinations. I got Hep B and Cholera. Lame. I am also currently starting my flickr account so the rents and fame can see my glorious pics.

Day 1 with this bloggy thingy

Well today I made my new email samcherrick@gmail.com and created my blog. I got all my effing shots today which sucked! good thing afex is paying for all 700 dollars of them. I found out today that Ian and I departing together which is sick. The count down starts today with 10 days till the fly my pampered spa ass off to the Sudan for a year.
